Ghana Basket with Lid | Handwoven Elephant Grass

Beautifully handcrafted in Ghana, this traditional lidded basket combines practical storage with striking African craftsmanship.

Natural golden straw is interwoven with rich purple tones, forming a beautiful rhythmic pattern that highlights the skill of the weaver.  Its generous rounded body, distinctive conical lid and tightly woven texture create an elegant, sculptural silhouette.

Traditionally made from elephant grass, also known as veta vera or veta vera grass, Ghanaian Bolga baskets are celebrated for their strength, flexibility and durability. The grass is harvested, dried, prepared and woven by hand using techniques passed down through generations.

Perfect for storage or just as a beautiful decorative statement in a living room, bedroom or hallway.
